Volunteers work side-by-side with the professional Solace staff to provide patient and family support. As a friend who commits to be with them through the uncertainties of end of life, volunteers offer patients and families a listening ear, a hand to hold, and the presence of a caring heart. Services offered by the volunteers are as varied as the needs of the patients and families. Hospice volunteers are an integral part of the hospice philosophy.
If you have a heart to give back to your community and make a difference in people’s lives we would love to hear from you. Solace will train and guide you through the steps of becoming a hospice volunteer and work around your schedule. You already possess the talents and gifts you need to make a difference in other people’s lives and your own.
